Robert is an experienced specialist in civil procedural law and makes a substantial contribution to knowledge management within the firm.

Robert regularly publishes on civil procedural law. Among other things, he is one of the editors of the textbook Stein/Rueb Compendium of Civil Procedure. In addition, Robert has – with office colleagues – been writing the annual chronicle on Civil Procedure in the Advocatenblad since 2007. He is also co-author of the commentary on articles 254-259 of the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure in Sdu Commentaar Burgerlijk Procesrecht.

Robert also teaches at the Law Firm School (which offers professional training to a number of larger firms). In addition to his work at Van Doorne, Robert teaches Civil Procedure at the University of Amsterdam.
