Wies maakt deel uit van het Arbitrageteam. Zij houdt zich bezig met uiteenlopende vraagstukken op het gebied van nationale en internationale commerciële arbitrage en investeringsarbitrage.
Wies studeerde aan Universiteit Leiden. Ze rondde de bachelor Rechtsgeleerdheid en de propedeuse Midden-Oostenstudies cum laude af. Aansluitend heeft zij de master Civiel Recht voltooid, met een focus op Engels recht. Tevens heeft Wies aan Sciences Po Parijs gestudeerd.
