Van Doorne has advised the ABN AMRO Social Impact Fund on its participation in Nudge, an on-line consumer platform on sustainability. This was the Social Impact Fund’s first participation. For Nudge the participation is highly encouraging, enabling further growth of the consumer platform and expansion of activities.
The Social Impact Fund acquires direct participations in undertakings with social objectives and a dual profit motive, social/sustainable and financial. To ABN AMRO the fund is not just a means to operate in the young and innovative market of social entrepreneurs; it also allows for an active contribution to this market’s development.
As a long-time forerunner in this field Van Doorne supports this vision. We are committed to fostering social entrepreneurship. One example of our commitment is our active partnership in the Utrecht University Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, a research centre. In addition, we publish and teach regularly on the legal aspects of social entrepreneurship, crowd funding and impact investment.
Over the past period we have advised not only the Social Impact Fund but several social enterprises, (impact) investors and subsidy providers on their social entrepreneurship activities. Well aware of the challenges faced by social enterprises Van Doorne has merged its expertise in a team of lawyers and civil law notaries from different disciplines.
We will be happy to explore with you how our Social Entrepreneurship team can help you.
