FinTech-lawyer Arno Voerman will take place in the jury for the Dutch FinTech Awards 2017. The awards for the most innovative Dutch FinTech companies will be awarded on 21 April 2017 in Utrecht. The other members of the jury are financial-technology experts in the fields of payment, investment, marketing, entrepreneurship and research.
It is impossible to imagine the financial sector today, in 2017, without the combination of finance and technology, or fintech. That also applies to Van Doorne. With the special FinTech & Payments team, consisting of, inter alia, Arno Voerman, Elisabeth Thole, Friso Foppes and Louis Jonker and set up in 2014, Van Doorne assists various financial institutions and start-ups/scale-ups.
"Partnerships is currently the key word within fintech", says Arno Voerman. "Start-ups need established institutions to market their product and the established order needs the fintechs to restructure their own business processes. Ever more start-ups and scale-ups actively team up with license holders in order to jointly put a proposition on the market. We consider this an important trend in which the legal profession has added value", Voerman recently said in an interview in Advocatie.
