Royal Bank of Scotland (WorldPay), advising Advent International and Bain Capital

Van Doorne advised Bain Capital and Advent International on the financing of their acquisition from Royal Bank of Scotland of an 80% majority interest in their payment processing business WorldPay (which includes Dutch-based Bibit).

This transaction is one of the largest transactions the market has seen in 2010 with a value of the business acquired GBP 2 billion (financing amount is undisclosed).

On the Van Doorne banking team were partner Stefan van Rossum and senior associate Martijn Nijstad. Corporate partner Hans van Ramshorst and Hannah de Jong (associate corporate) advised on the acquisition.
