Royal Bank of Scotland (WorldPay), advising Advent International and Bain Capital

August 2010

Van Doorne advised Advent International and Bain Capital on their acquisition from Royal Bank of Scotland of an 80% majority interest in Worldpay (which includes Dutch based Bibit) their payment processing business.

The value of the business acquired is GBP 2 billion (financing amount is undisclosed). This transaction is one of the largest transactions the market has seen in 2010.
