Biography
Louis Jonker studied Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam with an emphasis on intellectual property law and new media. In 2000 he graduated with a thesis on the intellectual property aspects of deeplinking. Louis joined the Information Technology department of Van Doorne in 2006, coming from a IT law boutique in Amsterdam.
Louis specialises in advising clients on any and all IT contract related matters. His experience ranges from assisting IT start-ups with implementing general terms and conditions to supporting listed multinationals in drafting and negotiating global master agreements for technology products and services. Furthermore, Louis' activities focus on assisting clients in complex sourcing projects, in particular in respect to the contractual aspects thereof.
In 2008 Louis passed with distinction (cum laude) a post degree specialist programme in Computer Law at the Grotius Academy. Next to various memberships of national and international associations for (information) technology and law, Louis is a member of the editorial staff of ITenRecht, an online knowhow platform for IT and law. Louis is also active within Platform Outsourcing Netherlands (PON), being a member of a PON working party that focuses on introducing a balanced contract template for outsourcing.
