Biography
Guus Kemperink became partner at Van Doorne in our corporate practice group in 2005 and advises on strategic M&A transactions, strategic joint ventures, corporate governance issues and corporate restructurings. In addition, he has developed a corporate litigation practice dealing with shareholder disputes, hostile takeovers and works council advice issues. In 2002 Guus Kemperink published a monograph titled Fusies, overnames en medezeggenschapsrechten (Mergers, Takeovers and Co-Determination Rights) in the academic series published by the Corporate Law Institute of the University of Groningen, on the subject of the works council's right of advice in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
Guus Kemperink regularly publishes in academic journals on decisions rendered by the Enterprise Chamber on shareholder inquiry proceedings and on various corporate law issues. Recently, he published in Common Market Law Review on the EC takeover directive and competing bids.
